The community has identified another active bird nest on the property of PUSD Education Center, 351 S Hudson Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101. It is on a tree that is planned to be taken down by PUSD, identified by them as Tree 48, a Coast Live Oak measuring 50 feet in height. The trunk is entirely surrounded by asphalt, but is being removed for 'soil remediation' without any explanation, arborist reports or environmental studies made available to the public.

Removal of the tree would be a federal criminal violation of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA) - 16 U.S.C. §703 and a state violation of California Fish & Game Code §3503.
